Residents of one Houston neighborhood took it upon themselves to perform water rescues as flooding submerged the area on Monday, April 18.

Greenspoint, in northern Houston, was one of the hardest-hit areas after nearly a foot of rain fell in less than 24 hours. Water levels rose as high as the top of cars, turning parking lots into lakes.

Though officials encouraged residents to wait for rescue officials, some thought the situation was dire enough to warrant an immediate, neighborly response.

Here we go again. Everyone's racist because I didn't get what I wanted when I wanted it! We need to stop using the word racism as it is used far more than necessary sort of like the "N" word. If the "N" word is used by a White Person it's offensive but when a Black person calls another Black person the "N" word it's a term of endearment. WTF?! We all need to start being responsible for ourselves. We rely way to much on our government which frankly can't take care of us but make sure they take care of themselves.

Black book club women booted from Napa Valley wine train settle suit

RACISM KILLS!

SAN FRANCISCO-- A group of mostly black women who filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the Napa Valley Wine Train have settled the case for an undisclosed amount.

The group's attorney, Waukeen McCoy, told the San Jose Mercury News on Monday the two parties reached a settlement last week. He says the settlement amount is confidential.

The 11 women, 10 black and one white, said they had gathered on the train to discuss a romance novel. But before the train left the station in Napa, a train employee asked them to quiet down because they were offending other passengers, the women said.

And the Black Book Club isn't racist? And the passengers complaining have no rights? I bet if you started a White Book Club that would be racist! America, don't be afraid to say what needs to be said. Discrimination against White's has been an issue for years now and needs to be stopped. Any form of racism is wrong. Mistakes were made in the past on everyone's part and should be left for dead. We can never move forward if we're always dragging our past with us!
